Sunday Outlet Sale Miracles!

Shopping our First Sunday Frame Outlet in Lincoln Park is a little bit like being Prince Charming searching for that glass slipper match. There’s a lot to choose from but when you find the perfect fit it feels like a miracle moment.

There’s no better way to understand than to see it in action, so come along on some miracle discoveries from a recent #sundayoutletsale.

A customer brought us several pieces of fun, vintage art they had picked up at the Randolph Street Market (pro tip: this is one of the best antique markets in the city and always has great vintage art!), as well as a vintage family photo that needed some love.

Let the hunt commence. Our outlet sale inventory is chock full of empty frames in standard and miscellaneous sizes, pre-cut mats, photo frames, framed and unframed artwork, framed mirrors and other odds and ends. No two sales are ever the same! Even better? All merchandise is discounted up to 80% off.

Up first. A pair of vintage egg illustrations that were going to live side by side. A wood gallery frame seemed great, but there was only one and we wanted the pair to match. So we went back to the hunt and found two perfect silver ready-made frames that were eggs-cellent! Total frame cost: $20.

To add a little something, we also decided to include a custom antique mat on each of the pieces. The beauty of the outlet sale is that you can combine the savings of our discounted merchandise with the benefits and upgrades of our custom services for a fraction of custom framing prices. Total antique mat cost for two pieces: $150.

On to the next one. This vintage family photo was taken in the 1930s and fit right in amongst the vibes of the other antique-style art. This was a standard photo size so we were able to find an amazing textured ready-made frame with plexiglass and backing and simply pop it in. Total frame cost: $25

Our final Randolph Street Market find was this funky lady that was calling out for a gold, gilded frame. There were no shortage of options but the slim, ornate profile seemed to suit her best. Total frame cost: $20.

Similar to the egg illustrations, we decided to float this one on a gray linen mat to tie to the gray colors in the piece. The wall it’s going on is painted a high gloss black so we popped a black mat behind just to see how it would look in context! Total mat cost: $70.

There you have it…not one, not two, not three, but FOUR First Sunday Frame Outlet miracles and for a grand total of $285 for four uniquely framed pieces!
