At Home: Print + Frame

If you’re at home now looking at blank walls or scrolling through thousands of untapped iPhone photos, you’re not alone. In this time when (more than ever!) our homes are our sanctuaries and our escape, we’re suggesting some simple art and framing ideas that can translate into magical moments.

Many people don’t realize that in addition to Chicago’s best framing, we’re also a one-stop resource for photo printing and digital art printing. Our state-of-the art Epson printers create high-quality archival prints on your choice of paper - from cotton rag fine art or canvas up to 44" wide. When paired with our award-winning framing, these are moments and memories that can last a lifetime. Read on for three key things to know to inspire your own print + frame projects.

Not all photos are created equally. Though by today’s standards most smartphones and digital cameras come equipped with top-notch technology, you may still need to optimize a few things before printing a professional-level quality photo. Our Digital Imaging Crash Course covers the basics for you - from adjusting resolution and clarity to choosing the best paper type for your image. Need some help? Simply email us or upload your photos here - our team is well-versed on photo adjustments and would be happy to help.

In addition to your personal photos, there’s also a plethora of free websites in the public domain where you can scour, source and print art online for your print + frame projects. A few of our favorite spots include Unsplash for its inspiring and completely un-stock style of photography from creatives around the world. Etsy is also a great digital marketplace for all types of art. Tip: search for instant downloadable art, plus the style of art you’re most interested in. Or, take a digital tour so to speak through The Metropolitan Museum of Art by browsing more than 400,000 high-res images available in the public domain.

Last but not least, frame away. There’s no shortage of options for you here depending on what type of art or photos you’ve decided to print. Of course, there’s our custom framing services ideal for designing unique and one-of-a-kind pieces. On the turnkey front, you can take advantage of our photo frames, gallery frames and gallery wall packages (all available online as well!). Or, meet somewhere in the middle with our Kinda Custom service that blends the convenience of ready-made frames with the personalization of custom framing.
